How we use cookies

The cookies used on the website include those which are strictly necessary cookies for access and navigation, cookies that track usage (performance cookies), remember your MindTime Thinking Style result (functionality cookies), and cookies that provide you with targeted content.

We may use the information we obtain from your use of our cookies for the following purposes:

  1. to recognise your computer when you visit the website
  2. to personalise the website for you, including enabling you to take the MindTime survey, receive your Thinking Style result and your MindTime key which you can use to revisit your MindTime Thinking Style report
  3. to track you as you navigate the website, and to enable the use of any e-commerce facilities
  4. to improve the website’s usability
  5. to analyse the use of the website
  6. in the administration of the website

Third party cookies

We use Google Analytics to help us analyse Sites usage and diagnose technical issues. Google Analytics collects data like:

  • Browser and device data, such as anonymised IP address, device type, operating system and Internet browser type, screen resolution, operating system name and version, device manufacturer and model, language, plug-ins, add-ons and the language version of the Sites you are visiting;
  • Usage data, such as time spent on the Sites, pages visited, links clicked, language preferences, and the pages that led or referred you to our Sites.

Blocking cookies

Most browsers allow you to refuse to accept cookies. For example: 

  1. in Internet Explorer you can refuse all cookies by clicking “Tools”, “Internet Options”, “Privacy”, and selecting “Block all cookies” using the sliding selector;
  2. in Firefox you can block all cookies by clicking “Tools”, “Options”, and un-checking “Accept cookies from sites” in the “Privacy” box.
  3. in Google Chrome you can adjust your cookie permissions by clicking “Options”, “Under the hood”, Content Settings in the “Privacy” section. Click on the Cookies tab in the Content Settings.
  4. in Safari you can block cookies by clicking “Preferences”, selecting the “Privacy” tab and “Block cookies”.

Blocking our cookies will, however, have a negative impact upon the usability of our website. For example, you will not be able to receive your MindTime Thinking Style result after taking the survey.

Deleting cookies

You can delete cookies already stored on your computer:

  1. in Internet Explorer, you must manually delete cookie files;
  2. in Firefox, you can delete cookies by, first ensuring that cookies are to be deleted when you “clear private data” (this setting can be changed by clicking “Tools”, “Options” and “Settings” in the “Private Data” box) and then clicking “Clear private data” in the “Tools” menu.
  3. in Google Chrome you can adjust your cookie permissions by clicking “Options”, “Under the hood”, Content Settings in the “Privacy” section. Click on the Cookies tab in the Content Settings.
  4. in Safari you can delete cookies by clicking “Preferences”, selecting the “Privacy” tab and “Remove All Website Data”.

Obviously, doing this may have a negative impact on the usability of many websites.
